The first cannabis-infused menu is coming to Toronto as “Pot Luck” opens its doors to the customers
On the 1st of March, a new opening in the Liberty Village will introduce Toronto to the cannabis-infused dishes and drinks as award-winning chefs, Mary and Andres Visetti, design the menu.
TORONTO, ON., – January 26, 2019
As the cannabis-based food market expands, Pot Luck is set to offer Toronto a menu it hasn’t seen before. With opening of Pot Luck in March, chefs Mary and Andres Visetti – previously recognized by Taste Canada Rewards and TimeOut Toronto for the launch of “Night” lounge in Downtown Toronto – have taken on a new challenge: combining their love for non-conventional cooking with classic French cuisine. “We are so excited to share with Toronto what we have been working on for a year now and what has become a real product of our effort and passion,” said Mary Visetti.
Mr. and Mrs. Visetti have designed innovative techniques that won’t leave customers feeling “high” after the meal. To avoid the usual lasting effects of marijuana, the chefs use a non-psychoactive cannabidiol (CBD) as the main ingredient for their creations.Cannabis-infused drinks also come as soft beverages as CBD already acts as an active ingredient. Pot Luck has collaborated with Constellation Brands, behind the famous Corona, to get a better understanding of the infused beverage business. Joe Brown, Constellation Brands CEO, said: “It was a pleasure to work together on new beverages – I can’t wait to try their final creations.”
On top of a unique dining experience, Pot Luck will be holding events and culinary masterclasses on how to prepare cannabis-infused meals. The chefs themselves will teach customers on how to use cannabis in everyday cooking and explain the health benefits behind their dishes. Classes will operate on signing-up basis and will open for registration on the 15th of February at www.potlucktoronro.ca/classes2019. The first 50 clients who sign up for culinary classes will also get 20% off their first bill at Pot Luck.
